Ghana’s Coronavirus Case Count Now 4700

Ghana has recorded 160 more cases of COVID-19 sending the total case count to 4,700, President Akufo-Addo has revealed. According to the President, 494 people have recovered from the pandemic. Meanwhile,  President Nana Akufo-Addo  has extended the ban on the national ban on public gatherings including religious activities, festivals, and funerals till the end of May. The extension comes into full force after he signed the Executive Instrument to give effect to the new measure from Monday, May 11, 2020.

Residents abandon Sofoline underpass as mad men take over

The abandoned Sofoline interchange was revealed to have served as an avenue for armed robbers attacking the residents who try using the underpass. Speaking to some of the residents lamenting on the challenge to our reporter, Acquah Solomon Kobina of 24hours Media Group Limited they emphasized that, the underpass is now "claimed to be a bonafide property of mad men and armed robbers since they always pose treat to residents trying to make use of the underpass" Madam Hannah Bentsil a trader and a resident at Sofoline Alignment assertee that, "it is better to cross the road at your own risk than to expose yourself to attacks".
